So I wanted to share these tracks because I respect this producer for a few reasons… First and foremost, he grew up in a small town about an hour away from my home in the “oh so exciting” state of Indiana. While much attention is rarely drawn to this midwestern state for anything other than Payton Manning or the Indianapolis 500, having grown up there I will testify that there are some amazing and incredibly talented musicians, DJs, and producers hiding within the endless miles of corn and soybean fields.

That being said, this up and coming producer known as Figure has been coming out with some great dubstep and electro tracks that are hitting crowds hard by surprise, and also have some pretty cool names.

An Introduction to “Clubstep”

As the dance scene is quickly turning favor to more club friendly dubstep tracks being released from such producers as Skrillex and Rusko, the Basscrooks and I have been working on supporting a new genre to hit dance floors. Known as “clubstep”, we are combinging popular, bass-heavy dubstep tracks with well known acappellas so that the average club goer doesn’t get scared of by the grimy bass lines underneath.
